Your video and audio files are analysed on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. When you use AI features, the text needed to fulfil your request — your typed command, relevant transcript excerpts, and project metadata (clip names, durations, timeline structure) — is sent through our servers to our AI provider, Anthropic, and the response is sent back. We do not store the content of these requests or responses; we store only token counts, timestamps, and which feature you used, for billing your credit allowance.

Our processors — Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI processing), Resend (transactional email), and our hosting provider (API + database) — under data processing agreements; authorities where legally required; no sale of personal data, no advertising sharing, ever.
US processors under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or IDTA/SCCs.
Account data — life of account + 24 months; usage metering records — 24 months; deleted-account data — erased within 30 days, except invoices (kept 6 years for tax law).
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection — exercised via support@magvideo.net or the in-account "Delete account" control (which erases within 30 days, except invoices retained 6 years for tax law). Complaints: ICO (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
A strictly necessary session cookie for sign-in; cookieless aggregate analytics; no tracking or advertising cookies — so no cookie banner is required, and we intend to keep it that way.
The service is not directed at under-18s.
Material changes notified by email; this policy is versioned and dated.
